Headline says it all ...

Story of the day:  From The Sun

Boy is taught on his own ... for being ginger!

A RED-HEADED schoolboy has been told he has to be taught in isolation — because HE is being bullied by classmates for being GINGER.

Flame-haired Tyler Walsh, 12, has been taunted for months by cruel bullies because of the colour of his hair. But after one incident last week when he was chased into a toilet by a group of year 10 students his mum Emma said the school told her it was best for Tyler to be taught away from other pupils.

Ms Walsh, from Bristol, said: "Tyler is effectively being bullied out of school for being red-headed. "It should be the bullies who are excluded from school, not their victim. "Tyler is a bright boy, and he wants to learn. He always works hard, and that, along with the colour of his hair, makes him a target for bullies."He has been bullied from the minute he started secondary school - before Christmas we even had to get the police involved after he was beaten up on the street.

"One boy held him down while another one kicked and punched him in the stomach. "The police went round to the other boy's house and had a word, but he was back at school the next day, and the bullying was worse than ever.
"The bullies shout at him and intimidate him in the school corridors, and steal his schoolbag at lunchtime and throw it over the wall."

Ms Walsh, 33, has now pulled her son out of Yate International Academy, after the school suggested that Tyler should be taught in their pupil inclusion unit to avoid the bullies. She is also upset that the academy refused to send work for Tyler to do at home until he was able to start at a new school.

Ms Walsh added: "It is not fair that Tyler should be bullied out of school.
