Ginger Ninja Gets Married

Had a great weekend celebrating the Ginger Ninja (aka, Dr. Kenneth Noisewater) wedding at Watercolor near Destin. Great food, booze, golf, weather and plus, Seaside is nice.  Some key takeaways from his wedding:
  • You can make it to Destin from Atlanta in a shade under 5 hours
  • Golf is fun, unless its raining -- then it just sucks
  • Short rib should be its own food group
  • I learned that bride / groom gifts can be things such as golf clubs and assault rifles
  • The food trucks and Saturday morning market in Seaside are awesome
  • Piano man is a song that isn't played enough
  • Flasks are phenomenal ... even if there is an open bar
  • I'm not a beach person, never have, never will be but I don't mind Seaside and Watercolor
  • Bonfires are cool
  • If you ever stay at Gulf Place at Rosemary Beach, make sure you meet your neighbor because the walls are so thin it will be like you know them.  Nothing says awesome like when you elbow the person next to you to stop snoring and you realize its the person in the condo next door.
  • The stars at night at the Ocean make me nostalgic to the days I wanted to be an astronaut. Granted, that dream ended when I was 10 and the Challenger crashed.
All in all ... great time in Seaside / Watercolor or where ever I was located. Farewell Ginger Ninja (aka, Dr. Kenneth Noisewater), the non-married people will miss you.

Nice one, POTUS, Nice one

Obama and his lack of knowledge about microphones strikes again ... In a meeting with the Russian president over the ballistic missile system, Obama said:
  • "On all these issues, but particularly missile defense, this, this can be solved but it's important for him to give me space."
  • Medvedev: Yeah, I understand. I understand your message about space. Space for you...
  • Obama: This is my last election…After my election I have more flexibility.
  • Medvedev: I understand. I will transmit this information to Vladimir.
First off ... he's talking to the Russians who don't like or trust us. Second, pretty arrogant for someone who isn't "officially" campaigning.

Granted, unless Jefferson rises from the dead, Obama will win but it just shows his lack of opinion for the rest of us.  He is more concerned about the leverage he will have in his last term in office. I mean here's a guy that was commenting on the Trayvon Martin shooting last week.

Does this mean that power hungry POTUS is going to push more health care plans that everyone hates? How about a 4 dollar tax on gas for shit and giggles? Let's ban the Bill of Rights? Better yet, let's give back Alaska and give Texas back to the Mexicans?

Obama must not like his daughters

Caught this nugget of news yesterday:  Malia Obama safe after earthquake in Mexcio.

That's awesome. Not the earthquake, but the fact that Obama sent his daughter to Mexico. She must have skipped her veggies for a month or kicked the dog ... or something to receive that punishment. Mexico? Does he want his daughter out of the picture?

Don't get me wrong, I loved Mexico back in the day. That's back in the day before the cartels ran the country and before bags of severed heads / mass graves were being found on a daily basis. Never thought I'd agree with Rick Santroum (seriously, never), but I gotta agree with his criticism of Obama.

Dude -- I wouldn't send my ex-girlfriends to Mexico ... ok, maybe one of them.  Course, her evilness might end the cartels so why not ... send the psycho to Mexico.

Anywhoo ... all this says to me is that Obama's daughter was bad and this is cruel and unusual punishment.  We should look into child abuse charges. Poor kid ...
