I'm not sure why General Fuller decided to speak to Politico (never a good move), but unfortunately, it got him sacked from his position as the lead General to NATO in Afghanistan. Most likely, his military career is now over.
Now that's really the only bad thing I'm going to say because his interview is pretty spot on. He says some really interesting comments about the Afghan government and their leader, the man wearing the woven / Chinchilla dunce hat. I've read a number of books about the N. Alliance, the removal of the Taliban and a lot of them are highly critical of the Presdent in the Chinchilla hat -- pretty much discounting any intelligence or credibility. Granted, you have to always consider the sources but when everyone is screaming fire, you think there is a fire. Honestly, I'm not sure why we continue to support him and please don't say, "Well, he's their president and leader". If you don't think we have leaders removed, then you should Google Vietnam and Ngo Dinh Diem.

Anywhoo ... Good Luck General Fuller. I'll miss your media briefings and hopefully you are being repositioned to a base back in the States. Let's hope you are the last General to fall victim to the administration appeasing Karzai and his Chinchilla Dunce Hat.
