The rally to restore what ???

In between a few football games this weekend I watched the Rally to Restore Sanity. I've heard lots of clever comments about the event like, there now needs to be a Rally to Restore Comedy.

Seriously, it was God Awful. I mean boring, stale / out dated comedy acts, terrible, not funny and I'm pretty sure the only musical act that held any relevancy was Kid Rock -- and since he sold out to TBS for the Baseball playoffs, I'm not sure he's what you call a head line act - particularly since he sang one song that I think he made up 30 minutes before coming on stage.

For something they've been planning for a couple of months, it reminded me a lot of an elementary school play / musical. Your there because you have to be and can't say that's its terrible because that would be unpopular. Well, the Rally to Restore Sanity was horrible. Sorry John Stewart -- good luck next time. I'm glad I didn't go ...
